Make a Miniature World!

This small version of the one of my favorite projects from the studio- miniature worlds! It is very easy make so preschoolers can make them right along with older kids. Making the miniature world is all about creating their very own habitat for animal or change it up an add a fairy to make it fairy garden. Here is what you will need for this project:

  • Terra Cotta Saucer

  • Play Dough

  • Small Animal

  • Moss

  • Small glass marbles, fake flowers, plants, rocks,

  • Paint and Paintbrush (Optional)

The first thing that you do is paint the outside of the saucer. There is no need to paint the inside because we will be covering that up. After that, cover the inside of the saucer with play dough. Squish it until it is flat and covering as much of the inside as you can. Now you can start decorating by adding gems, moss, flowers, etc. You can also bend a small piece of paper and stick each side in the play dough to make a small house. If you have pipe cleaners, you could add those too. Sticks and rock make a nice addition as well. The possibilities are endless!
