Make a Mixed Media Face

This project uses lots of found objects (aka stuff you can find around your house) to make a face. It is inspires kids to look differently at every objects and find creative solutions with the materials they have on hand. Here is what we will need for this project:

  • Piece of cardboard

  • Bottle caps, wooden shapes, straws, buttons, etc

  • Yarn

  • Glue

  • Paint/Paintbrush

First, paint the cardboard any color you choose. Then, you can start to arrange the objects to start to create a face. There is no right or wrong way to this. The great part of this project is that everyone's face will look different- the more creative, the better! Then glue your objects to the cardboard and let it dry to 24 hours.

Watch how I made my mixed media face!
