Our studio
CREATE art + play studio is an inspiring art studio located in Lexington, Kentucky. We are dedicated to providing the joyful exploration of art for kids of all ages. Our unique studio is full of playful experimentation of art processes and materials. We encourage individual expression and imaginative exploration of each child’s artistic ideas. drop in
Pop in, no reservation needed, to play, make, and create for an hour or two. Explore the studio, make a craft, paint a canvas... we have so many options! Check our shop hours as they change seasonally and please arrive at least one hour prior to closing.

CREATE is a magical space for a super fun party! Celebrate your special event in our beautiful, happy studio! Let us plan your unqiue, memorable party.
after school program
The after-school program at CREATE is designed to provide fun and supportive environment to help grow your child's creativity. Each day a teacher from CREATE will greet your child after school at Maxwell Elementary then walk to CREATE where children may stay until 5:30 pm. In this relaxed atmosphere, children ages 5-11, your child will learn to have fun with art while practicing the basic elements of art, including various types of artistic styles and art history influences. Children are also provided opportunities to design and build creative projects in our makerspace during their free time and have unstructured free play at Woodland Park (weather permitting).
